Overview

Corn snakes make excellent pets for all levels of reptile enthusiasts. They can get between 3 and 5 feet long without much differentiation between the male and female. They are native to woodland and forest regions of the southeastern and central united states.

Housing

Adult corn snakes should be housed in a minimum of 30g terrarium. The tank should allow the snake to stretch out entirely across it diagonally. They do not need much vertical room. They are escape artists so ensure your lid locks tight and has no plug holes in it.

Humidity

The ideal humidity for a cornsnake is between 40 and 50% humidity.You can add a moist hide over some under-tank heating to help keep the environment humid, and mist regularly.

Handling

Corn snakes are very social and great for handling. You should avoid handling them during shedding as their skin is irritated.
