Milk Frogs

Trachycephalus resinifictrix
Milk Frogs

Overview

These are very active frogs. They're diurnal and are fairly quiet. They can even handle some light handling! They're very cool because they're translucent and you can see their blue organs. They can catch their entire weight on one toe pad. You can keep them together but should add another 10 gallons for each frog.

Housing

They prefer high humidity so a glass enclosure is best. We keep them in our frog substrate. They love to climb so they should be kept in a taller enclosure.

Temperature

They like a basking spot and will use it. They should have a warm and cool side.

Humidity

Should be misted twice a day.

Feeding

Their main diet is crickets and they do eat some black soldier flies (not larvae).

Handling

They are okay with some handling with clean hands.

Colours & Morphs

They're always black and white.
